In the heart of Espelette, on the street leading down to the village church, not far from the fronton, Aurore Martinat and Matteo Giua welcome you to Brenti.
They offer you a natural cuisine with strong and incisive tastes, giving pride of place to simplicity and generosity, in an intimate and warm atmosphere within an old Basque house.
The location of Brenti within the Basque Country is no coincidence. This region reminds the chef Matteo Giua of his native Sardinia: the sea and the mountains, an identity shared by two places each proud of their own traditions and ancestral rites, but also with many culinary similarities: local produce, suckling lamb, suckling pig, etc.
Let yourself be carried away by an authentic cuisine creating a link between the Basque Country and the Mediterranean highlighting ingredients from the Basque region supplied through local, organic, Idoki networks and products from Italy and Sardinia, again sourced with great attention to product quality and from small producers.
The desire to work with mainly local and seasonal products allows Brenti to offer different dishes each week, accompanied by a mainly Italo-Basque wine list exclusively composed of organic, biodynamic or natural wines.
